It’s ok to say no. To curl up in a ball. To dive deep inside. To take time for you.
But how much time, you wonder, is too much?
To which the mentor responds… what is too much? Who decides? Is it some arbitrary source outside of you telling you what’s right and what’s wrong? Or more likely, a conditioned voice inside of you saying you need to take one for the team.
Listen to your body. She will tell you when you’ve had enough time. When you’re ready to unfurl, to open to the wind. To sail again.
