Hello my love!
Would you like to hit the reset button today? Thinking these words from a most beloved children’s book, The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett, might just do the trick.
“Of course, there must be lots of Magic in the world,” he said wisely one day, “but people don’t know what it is like or how to make it. Perhaps the beginning is just to say nice things are going to happen until you make them happen. I am going to try an experiment.”
Colin’s experiment was about the magic of our thoughts and our stories turning into the things that make up the canvas of our lives. And what this ten year old boy knew, was that it didn’t matter if it was real magic, it was the fun, and laughter and power of his imagination and belief in himself that made things happen. Along with friendship, the splendor of nature, bursting in all its magnificence and getting still enough to notice it.
Call it what you will. God, The Divine, Allah, Brahman, Buddha Nature.
I love magic, it’s fun. It lights me up and to me, is inclusive of everything and everyone.
Ok, here’s your reset button! Sing, chant, whisper these word from Colin: “The magic is in me. The magic is in me. The magic is in me.”
Then, at the end of the day, check in and leave a comment. How did it feel? What kind of magic spilled out from you? Noticing the magic is half the magic.
