Hello boo.
Let’s play a game! We’ll use our breath and random pockets of time throughout the day.
The instructions are simple. Breathe and repeat these words silently to yourself.
Breathe in: I am free. Breathe out: I am free.
Practice for a few minutes at a time and notice what happens.
Does it have calming effect?
Does it call in your inner contortionist — twisting you into strange configurations to make it so?
Does it make you want to scream and rage — as you feel anything but free.
Does it conjure tears and tightness in your throat?
Perhaps you find it boring
Don’t be fooled. Boredom may be the juiciest one of all.
None of these feelings are wrong.
You are not wrong.
As you continue to practice — while driving, in line at the grocery store, when you wake up, before you go to sleep — you may find yourself cycling through all these feelings. Along with a variety of feelings you’ll discover on your own.
Keep going.
And remember, none of these feelings are wrong. You are not wrong.
Breathe in: I am free. Breathe out: I am free.
Love ya.
Xo
P.S. Let me know if you stumble into a portal of well being during the playing of this game.
